Citizen Men’s JY0064-00L Eco-Drive Blue Angels Skyhawk A-T Chronograph Rubber Strap Watch (Watch) Having had earlier versions of this watch, I looked to replace it. I paid $417 at John Bull in Nassau. Mechanism 1000 times more complicated involving a dance of pulling out stems and pushing buttons to do what buttons alone did before. Definitely no longer a work watch, a bling watch.In less than SIX DAYS, of on and off wearing, there was a large deep scratch on the crystal. For a watch billed as scratch resistant and supposedly a rugged watch, this was incredible.Wrote to Citizen asking about what seems to be a serious manufacturing defect — they basically blew me off with ‘send it in and we will see.’ I asked for crystal replacement, but their reply seems to indicate they know about the problem, don’t care, and will charge for repair. Returning it to the dealer, don’t care if I take a loss on it.Citizen has really lost its credibility. I know some Blue Angels, will ask if they really want to be associated with this defective product.This watch is appropriate if you coddle it like a fine Swiss watch. But it ain’t one.Do not wear it everyday, and God forbid you wear it in a challenging environment.Save $500. Buy a Timex. The crystal will last longer.Sorry Citizen — your choice.

Citizen Men’s AV0031-59E Eco -Drive Calibre 2100 Watch (Watch) I’m a watch lover and have several high end watches (it’s my thing, what can I say). With that said, whenever I get the chance I’ve got the Calibre on. I love the look (the chronograph is awsome), the weight, and the general overall feel of the watch on my wrist… It’s a joy! Oh yea, it keeps incredible time and is as good as anything on the market in this price range. I bought one for my son as well!!!

Citizen Men’s JY0000-02E Eco -Drive Skyhawk A-T Watch (Watch) 4.5 stars , nothings perfect! Everything a watch should be. Always accurate to the second, without setting or thinking about it forever with atomic time! Mine syncs great, I live in Georgia, a long way from Denver (location of radio signal), and auto syncs every night! Never needs a battery, with eco-drive, something else I don’t have to think about. I love analog watches, but enjoy the digital features of date, timer, chrono, and even alarm. I enjoy and occasionally use the e6b slide rule, (but must take off watch to really use), but with this type of band, it’s off and on in a snap! It is a great size for my 55 year old eyes, and very easy to glance and see time with bright hands and tick marks. Hands glow very well and I can see it at night and in the movies without LED, but digital area of watch does illuminate with LED if required. I didn’t find it difficult at all to set, but I enjoy reading the manual and finding out what it will do. Alarm and timer signal is adequate but only chimes for 15 seconds, not really useful to wake by. The crystal is very slightly domed, and I prefer a flat non-reflective crystal, but not really noticeable or a problem. I also like the rotating bezel with the small metal studs at 5 minute intervals, as I like to use this for a handy elapsed time bezel like a scuba watch. I really like the band and quick open/close feature. I had to cut down the band, but it was not a problem, just take your time, as you can’t undo a mistake. All in all a great watch. I picked it up for $351, so shop around.

I love it, my friends love it, and its not too big as the other reviews has suggested. By wrist is of normal size and i think it fits perfectly. My only complain would be that the chronograph hand ticks instead of moving at a steady speed. This can pose a problem if you plan to use the tachymeter as you may not get accurate readings. Other than that I love the watch.

Citizen Men’s BJ2117-01E Eco -Drive Depth Meter Chronograph Metric Rubber Dive Watch (Watch) Just wanted to let potential customers know that this is the exact same watch as the Citizen BJ2115-07E. The only difference is that this model’s (BJ2117-01E) dive functions are in metric as where the BJ2115-07E is feet. Haven’t quite figured out why this model is $104.25 LESS than the other at the time of this review, since the only difference is in dive measurements. But yeah, if your not going to use the dive functions and/or want metric measurements only, then this version is definitely the one for you since it’s $100 cheaper. The only thing that bugs me a little bit is that the European and Asian versions of both of these watches come with a sapphire crystal and we here in North America get stuck with a cheaper mineral one. Granted you can send it in to Citizen (google it or call them, it’s somewhere in California.) and have them replace it with Sapphire for $90 or so, but a $400 plus dive watch should definitely come with sapphire, especially when we know other parts of the world gets it for the same relative price. Maybe we don’t demand it or whatever. Other than those opinions, it’s a fantastic watch. Face looks gorgeous when the light hits it. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is they want to cheapen our version with mineral glass and the $100 price difference in the two versions. Good Luck.

Citizen Men’s JY0000-02E Eco-Drive Skyhawk A-T Watch (Watch) The watch is Fantastic, I was able to adjust to the weight in a couple of days. I bought the watch with the rubber band because it was on sale, runs around 70.00 less then the stainless steel bracelet. The band lasted me for a year, I hardly ever take it off so as far as watch bands made from rubber go this one lasted a long time for me. I replaced the band with the stainless steel one which cost 120.00 so my advice is to pay a little extra and go for one of the metal bracelets. I say bracelets because that is how they are designed, it will slide on your wrist some but it sets beautifully on my arm and I have received a number of complements. As far as the watch goes, it is a little complicated to set up at first but comes with a small booklet that is very helpful and explains things in an easy to understand way. The website is also interactive as well. I would not use the two alarms to wake you up as they are not loud enough for that but are plenty loud enough to get your attention when awake. Take care with the crystal because it will scratch, as I said I hardly ever take mine off but I did put a couple of small scratches on it. However if you did not know they were there you would not see them so the crystal is of fine quality. The main feature for me is the Eco-drive, when my watch arrived the charge level was low. I placed it in my window cell facing the sun and it was fully charged in a couple of hours and has stayed that way to this day. The slide rule is very useful, I am not a pilot but I do find myself using most of the features. I also love the fact that I do not have to keep setting my watch to the correct time, the radio receiver updates the time every night, the watch itself if it for some reason is out of range is accurate to 1 second a month. I have looked at other more expensive watches but I was always drawn back to this one, it is truly maintenance free, you wont be sorry.

Citizen Men’s BL5250-02L Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Watch (Watch) This was a gift from my siblings for my birthday in November. I’ve had it for a few months now. My siblings knew I had been eyeing this watch for months and months and that the watch I was wearing (some cheapie) was nearing its end. My cheapie had a knockoff look of this watch–hence the reason I fell in love so quickly.To start off, this watch is wrapped in a classy little box that says ‘i’m sophisticated, not pompous.’ I found it very fitting for my mechanical and conservative character.Secondly, the watch is stiff in the ‘it’s well made’ way. The leather demands wear to be broken in and properly enjoyed and the face is striking.Thirdly, the set up is a PITA. But it’s one of those ‘one and done’ items to do. I actually put the watch aside because I received it during a week of exams and actually set it up on a 5 hour car ride home with my brother.I understood Citizen watches to have very hard and resilient crystals. You can imagine my disappointment when I was sitting in a biology lecture to see the most horrific and deep scratch across the top right of my watch’s face. I was heart broken. I got in touch with a few friends and understand that i’m looking at a $50-100 replacement crystal fee. It’s simply heartbreaking. When I start working again i’ll consider a nice replacement crystal.I can only say I wish for a stronger crystal and stronger fluorescence on the hands (or lights) but it’s everything I wanted it to be and I absolutely adore it. I don’t know if I’ll ever want another way. It’s great!I recently found my parents Citizen‘s clock they’d received for their wedding 26 years ago (!) and it was still accurate to two seconds. I was amazed. I have high hopes for this watch and have only been mildly disappointed with the crystal thus far.Hope this helps anyone looking. Citizen Men’s JY0005-50E Eco-Drive Skyhawk A-T Watch (Watch) Got this on amazon for $384 and I love it. The picture shows the watch to have a matt finish but the black coating is a glossy finish. It still looks great. I use it in India where there is no radio reception and the watch keeps time on par with my computer. I banged it around a few times and its very scratch resistant. The alarm is very weak and barely audible but not bad for a solar powered watch. The battery was not showing full power for 2 weeks even after leaving it in direct sunlight for more than 10 hrs a day but now it never drops below full charge. The titanium costs twice as much so I settled for the stainless steel. The finish is top notch and overall a great buy.

Citizen Men’s CA0295-58E Eco-Drive Nighthawk Watch (Watch) This watch is a nice addition to my collection. Looks similar to some black powder coat mixed with gun metal. Its charged by the sun. Probably my nicest Citizen
